BEA and HP are
working very closely to ensure BEA products are certified and optimized for
this transition. Our joint goal is to provide our customers the benefits of new
technologies with minimum disruption to their business. Both BEA and HP are
committed to ensure our joint customers' investments in our solutions are
protected.
Product availability
The following products are currently available on HP Tru64 UNIX V5.1B and its updates:
- WebLogic Server 8.1 SP1, 7.0 SP1
- WebLogic Portal 8.1 GA
- Tuxedo 8.1, 8.0, 6.5
- BMQ 5.0
All above products have been certified to run with Tru64 UNIX 5.1B. As 5.1B will be the last
major functional release of Tru64 UNIX, it is advised to upgrade to this
operating system version.
The following products are currently available on HP-UX 11i v2 on Integrity servers:
- WebLogic Platform 8.1 SP3, which includes Server, Portal, and Integration
- WebLogic Server 7.0 SP4
- Tuxedo 8.1, 6.5
Future product plans
The following products are currently planned for HP Tru64 UNIX:
- WebLogic Server 8.1 SP4
is tentatively planned for March/April 2005.
As this will be the last functional release on Tru64 UNIX, it is advised
to upgrade to this WebLogic Server version
Support strategy
BEA's current plans are to support WebLogic Server,
WebLogic Portal, Tuxedo, and BMQ on Tru64 UNIX – in
accordance with BEA standard and extended support agreements – at least until
2009 – unless the specific BEA product and version is retired on all platforms
sooner.
